Fashion, Design and Craft: rethinking processes and products with digital technologies

Tuesday 8 November, a free course on digital innovation, organised by CNA Roma with the contribution of CCIAA Roma and our technological support.

Digital is a lever to innovate — while respecting tradition and quality — the traditional trades of fashion, design and artistic craft. New technologies make it possible to develop and streamline some of the production phases, improving them in terms of both productivity and sustainability.

By leveraging new technologies, it is in fact possible to apply an incremental working method based on successive prototypes — designing and discarding, in virtual mode, models and drawings without wasting materials.

The same digital technologies also make it possible to use new materials with lower environmental impact.

On Tuesday 8 November, CNA Roma, with the contribution of CCIAA Roma and the technological support of Chirale, will run a free course dedicated to these topics and addressed specifically to member companies in the Artistic Craft, Fashion and Design sectors.

The training programme will cover the following topics:

  • Innovative and sustainable materials
  • How to design for CNC machines
  • Cutting and customisation from the unique piece to series production
  • Finishing and packaging
  • Interactive technologies: interactive packaging
  • Applied-research demonstrations (laser cutting, cutting plotter, digital printing, electronics).

For organisational reasons, only 15 participation requests will be accepted in chronological order.
